Crossing

Circulation operation. It foresees the stop of a train on a special track (also called crossing) in order to free the way, usually the track, for the passage or transit of another train in the opposite direction. The crossings are made in the point fixed on the timetable or in a more appropriate one and are established by the operators assigned to the Regulation, depending on the current traffic situation. The intersection, usually established in Service hours, in cases of disturbed circulation may vary following specific dispatches between the various Executives of the circulation and the possible agreement with the Central Manager
