In particular with regard to air pollution, waste production, energy consumption, accidents and safety, occupation of public land, traffic congestion and accessibility in the urban environment. Will also examine specific technological innovation initiatives within: waste collection, maintenance cycles with the aim to save and recycle natural resources, green building and biomaterials for the construction of infrastructure and rolling stock; and the use of recycled paper in ticketing, environmentally friendly weeding and barriers for noise protection
