HAS. Hazard analysis. Activity carried out on a system to analyze the hypotheses of the cases of danger, downstream of a Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) carried out in the initial phase of system design. The methods that can be used for the analysis in the preliminary phase can be of the Top down type, such as the analysis of hazards and critical operating factors (HAZOP) and the analysis of the tree of dangerous events (hazard) as possible consequences anomalies (MORT, FTA); the methods that can be used in the final phase of realization can be of the Bottom up type, including the analysis of faults / anomalies, as causes of possible dangerous consequences (FMEA-FMECA). Other methods for hazard studies are: CCTA, CCHDA, Checklist, GFCM, CM-T, AEA, PTA, WSA, HMC. More qualitative aspects of risk analysis are defined by the ALARP, GAMAB and MEM techniques. Hazard analysis and related risks make it possible to define the degree of immunity from dangerous failures (SIL, Safety integrity), through the Safety Integrity Level Definition (SIL-D)
