Human machine interface

Man Machine Interface, MMI. The techniques and the ways in which a human operator relates to a computer or cybernetic system, through suitable devices and behavior protocols. The interface generally allows elementary input / output operations, the execution of which involves the so-called man-machine interview. The most common interface devices are: monitor or video terminal, keyboard, mouse, graphic tablet, optical pen and others. The modes of video interfaces have developed considerably in recent years through the increasingly intense use of high-resolution graphics and iconographic design; the use of vocal interfaces is also spreading, through direct speech recognition.
