MIL

Short term which conventionally indicates a series of military regulations of the American Defense Department (United States Military Standard), also later extended and taken as reference of other standards (CENELEC) as well as of the civil products industry, with particular regard to characteristics of reliability, documentation and management of systems. MIL standards can be subsidized by other regulations, also introduced in other countries and organizations, related to the most critical sectors, such as the aerospace, chemical, nuclear and other industries
