Reactive security. Automatic treatment of possible dangerous failures safely. Fail Safe technique whereby, in a module of a security system, in the event of a dangerous failure, which would be immediately damaging, there is a timely self-detection, so that internal inhibition actions (Negation) are activated in such a short time that there can be no dangerous situations. For example, a fault, which erroneously activates a critical output, is immediately detected and inhibited, by means of a cancellation action, before it can cause harmful effects. It is used individually or, more frequently, in combination with complementary techniques. See Composite Fail Safety and Inherent Fail Safety
