Rear of a train

It is the rear and visible terminal part of a train. The presence of appropriate tail lamp detects the integrity of the train required for traffic safety. A “non-regular” tail lamp can mean an abnormal or dangerous condition, even if rare (for example, in-line convoy splitting). Railway safety requires the obligation to check the rear, ie the verification of the completeness of the train, through the presence of lights or tail signals. ERTMS defines the completeness assessment with the abbreviation TTI (Train Integrity Interface)
